Introduction

The novel "Shadows" by Tim Bowler deals with a boy, Jamie, and a girl, Abby. Jamie lives in Ashingford, a small town in England and he is good at squash, but it's his father who is determined that he should become a champion like himself in the past. Soon the pressure becomes too much for Jamie.
When he finds Abby hiding in his personal hiding place, he is suddenly confrinted with another person who has been living in the shadows. By helping her, he realizes that he might be able to resolve his own problems at home...
